The 308-room Grand Park Orchard is the latest offering from the Park Hotel Group. It marks its opening with an introductory offer – rates start from SGD288 (USD212) per night for a Deluxe room. Included with the room are the following benefits: daily breakfast, complimentary Internet access and local calls. With the exception of alcoholic beverages, there is no charge on the consumption of mini-bar items; the mini-bar will be replenished daily.

Travelers wishing to visit the Universal Studios Singapore can now book the Ultimate Fun package and stay in a hotel at the Resorts World Sentosa. The package is available for one or two nights and allows guests to choose from Hotel Michael, the Hard Rock Hotel or the Festive Hotel.

Also included in the package are daily breakfast for two persons, two adult passes to the Universal Studios theme park, gift vouchers worth SGD25 and welcome drinks at Casino Royale Bar. The bar is located within the resort’s casino; only guests 21 years old and older are permitted to enter the casino.

Come 27 October 2010, Airphil Express will fly between Manila and Singapore. The sale of seats commenced on 3 August 2010, with fares starting from PHP1,888 (USD41) one way and subject to further taxes and surcharges.

Airphil Express is Philippines’ low-cost airline and offers 15kg of free baggage allowance. The Manila-Singapore flight is the airline’s first international route and flies three times per week in a brand-new A320.

Fine-dining restaurant Waku Ghin – helmed by celebrity chef Tetsuya Wakuda – has opened at Marina Bay Sands. The restaurant features a unique dining concept where diners move from room to room while enjoying a 10-course degustation menu priced at SGD325 (USD239) per person. With just 25 seats in the restaurant and a stunning floor-to-ceiling view of the Singapore cityscape, the gastronomic experience promises to be exclusive and intimate.

From now till 31 December 2010, a Theatrical Experience package is available at the Resorts World Sentosa and includes breakfast for two persons, two tickets to the Voyage de la Vie circus extravaganza show worth SGD216, gift vouchers worth SGD25 and welcome drinks at the Casino Royale Bar. The package is available for a one-night stay at a rate of SGD498 for weekdays or SGD598 on weekends. Alternatively, guests can opt for a two-nights stay at SGD768 for weekdays or SGD918 on weekends. Rates are inclusive of tax and service charge.

The InterContinental Hotels Group is offering a promotion at its Singapore hotels. An early bird rate for the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix is available until 15 August 2010 at the following hotels: the InterContinental Singapore, Crowne Plaza Changi Airport, Holiday Inn Singapore Orchard City Centre and Holiday Inn Atrium.

Guests who book at least three nights between 21-27 September will enjoy 25% off the room rate. A 35% discount is available for group bookings of at least 10 rooms and up to 25 rooms.
